MIDWEEK FUN

Well..the coming hours did surprise me with a lot of enjoyment and love. I went with my collegues to an old age home in SoBo and had a blast. The inmates there were all in their late 70s - 80s. We made them play housie by helping them cross the numbers and handed over gift bags containing mugs and confectionaries to 7 full house winners. They were so ecstatic. Some of them had hearing, while the others had vision or speech defects. Some were extremely ill to even come out of their beds, but all of them welcomed us with so much warmth and love just like we had come to their home.

Must say 'music makes the people come together'. They were singing, giggling and enjoying every bit of the vintage classics songs that had such complicated lyrics. I lost complete track of the ticking clock until one of us said its time. After seeing the excitement on their faces I thought they would be sad or upset at ending this meet. But I was wrong. Guess grey hair does increase the usability of the grey matter. They were prepared that it was going to be short lived and were in fact so thankful and kicked about their afternoon that I think for the next one week they will cherish the memories of this day.

At times like these you realise the worth of your time. People who know you, won't value it as much as strangers will. You can just spend a couple of minutes and leave life-long imprints.
